An original character and story inspired by the life of Irish actress, Maureen O’Hara, for a potential children’s picture book to celebrate the life of a famous Irish emigrant. I aimed to spread awareness and highlight the influence that Irish emigrants have had within society.

By using an influential figure that has been forgotten over time, I want to show the positive aspects of emigration and celebrate the life of an inspirational Irish woman through my character and visual narrative.
